Coin #1 in Barry's study

This particular variety has only one notable feature, which is a Narrow Date. In most cases, the size of the dates for these different varieties, is generally of very little use for the purpose of identifying a specific variation, however, this is the exception. Perhaps the best way to recognize this variety it to check the size of the last Gap, between the “0” & “7”. In this instance, it can be seen to be noticeably Narrower than the Gap between its “9” & “0”. For all of the other varieties, these Gaps are either about the same size or the final Gap is Wider.
