Narrow Date, Medium "41", Near "C"
1941 Newfoundland One Cent · George VI
This next Narrow Date variety is very similar to the previous example, however, in this case the main difference lies with the spacing between the "4" and "1" of the date. With this particular variation, the gap between these two digits becomes slightly Wider, which for the purposes of comparison, will be labeled the first of several varieties that have this Medium spacing between these two numerals. Finally, it should be mentioned that the Mint Mark "C" has also been punched relatively close to the base of the "T" (in the word "CENT"). This particular characteristic would make it and the first Narrow Date, the only two of these varieties where this "C" has been positioned so near to this letter.
