Coin #1 in Barry's study

The first of these two varieties has a Narrow Date, that can be quite easily recognized by its very Narrow "9's". They are also characterized by their long, narrow openings, which might appear similar to the Cat's Eyes! This is the more common variation with about a 2:1 ratio, as compared to the following, Wide "9's" variety
