Narrow Date, Medium, Re-punched "41", Far "C"
1941 Newfoundland One Cent · George VI
This particular variety takes us into the Re-punched variations with their altered numbers and lettering. In this instance, the effects of these modifications are minimal at best, with the "4" and "1" of the date, illustrating modest signs of these changes. With this variety, the "4" shows very slight signs of Re-punching in its eye, on the diagonal part of this digit and the "1" displays a very slight doubling effect on the left side of its base. However, this variety is one of only two examples within this group, which has its Mint Mark "C" punched noticeably farther from the "T" and closer to the "Dot". In this particular situation, it has been positioned over the 5th Denticle.
