Wide Date, High "3" (Reverse Die Clash)
1943 Newfoundland 5 Cents · George VI
This variety also has a Wide Date but there are some subtle differences which distinguish it from its previously listed partner. The Reverse sides of these coins do not have the same telltale Die Polishing Lines but they do exhibit modest signs of a "Die Clash". To date, all of the examples examined have shown this particular anomaly. Finally, it should be noted that the Obverse Rim has been reasonably well formed but some examples have shown a general weakness in this area.
