Narrow Date, High "4", Even "3"
1943 Newfoundland 10 Cents · George VI
This particular example is perhaps the easiest of the Narrow Date variations to recognize. In this instance, the "3" has been positioned evenly with the "19" in the date, but the "4" has been punched noticeably Higher, making it stand out in relation to the other numerals. The overall appearance of this date is Uneven, with the "4" being the defining characteristic of this variety. However, the Wide Gap between the "3" and the Ornamental Loop is also important for the identification of this variance.
