Narrow Date, Even "4", Low "3"
1943 Newfoundland 10 Cents · George VI
The final example listed in this section, also has a Narrow Date, but its differences are more subtle than with any of the other varieties. Perhaps its most defining feature can be found with the "4", which is Even with the first two digits in the date. The "3" in this instance, has been punched slightly Lower, placing it over the Ornamental Loop in a position which lies somewhere between those of the other known varieties. This is perhaps the most difficult to recognize of any of these variations because it does not appear to have any major or defining characteristics!
